I Love Your Lipstick!

In my line of business, I am so fortunate to meet some of the most amazing women.

So, when I tell you this new year has started off with so many blessings, you’ll know what I mean.

I am blessed to connect with others in a personal way. To encourage and be encouraged and to inspire one another. It’s my hope that this year will continue to bring the same type of blessing through my work as a permanent makeup artist. And I hope this for you as well, in whatever you do.

This video is a peek at what happens inside the suite for a client who wants lip color. She wanted just a ‘hint’ of pink. A color that resembled her natural lip color. You’ll get the most information about the procedure itself, so don’t look for dramatic results. Every client has their preference for how they want to look. In this video, you’ll see the naturally beautiful result of light-pink lip color.

Wake up Beautiful! The Micropigmentation Process

When was the last time you put on makeup and thought: “If I could just get it like this every time“? This is one of the reasons why permanent eyeliner has become such a popular alternative to every day cosmetic makeup.

There are plenty of good reasons to choose permanent eyeliner. Aside from saving time, you can be confident during exercise or swimming because it will not smudge or wash off. Eyeliner placed along the lash-line creates an effect that makes the lashes look thicker. Also, any style of eyeliner whether subtle or bold, will make your eyes stand out.

It’s not just for Divas. Eyeliner can create some wonderful dramatic effects for the eyes, but it can be just as beautiful for a natural look. Whether you use foundation and a little lip gloss before you head out the door or no makeup at all.

How long will it last? The darker the color of the liner, the longer it will last. Some of my clients’ black eyeliner from 5 years ago are still dark enough without a touch-up. The color can have much less intensity over time however, it is still visible. Also, remember that it heals underneath the skin, so the color will not be as deep as when it was put on.  It always heals softer.

The journey so far in this video series with my client Dr. Celeste Holstein is only halfway through. After a thorough consultation, we have created her perfect eyebrows and now, in this video, we will show you the procedure for her permanent eyeliner.

Hugs,
Pam

Because it’s All About The Brows, The Brows, The Brows!

From the moment a client steps into my permanent makeup studio asking about their eyebrows, my adrenaline starts to build. For me, sharing with an individual and showing them how brows can affect their overall appearance is very exciting. The truth is, even though we may not feel it, in most cases full eyebrows can make us look 10 years younger.

In the past, loss of eyebrows meant one of two things: live with it or use an eyebrow pencil. But, it’s not always easy to get a penciled-brow in the right shape and color for our individual face. Also, pencil can wear off during the day and must be redrawn every morning.
Today there are so many options, not just for loss of eyebrows, but for defining, filling, shaping and creating them. Microblading, Blading with Shading, or a Powdered Brow for new and corrective brows for those with old work are available. Performed by a skilled professional, these techniques are used to create the desired custom look based on each client.

To find a qualified professional look for these things: A free consultation that will allow you to ask questions about the procedure, access to their recent before/after photos including “healed” photos, be sure they have the credentials required to perform the procedure. Also, check out their reviews online to get an idea of what others are saying.

This is the 2nd video in the series with my client Dr. Celeste Holstein. Being fair-haired, she felt her brows weren’t visible enough.

As a busy mom and doctor, she didn’t have enough time to draw in her brows the way she wanted them to look. She decided to try something different. Something that turned out beautiful.

Follow along in this video series that will show you from beginning to end the process of researching, consulting and choosing MicroBladed Eyebrows and permanent makeup. If you haven’t yet seen the first video, you can watch it here: “The Consultation”.

As a permanent makeup artist, I not only create brows, but also permanent eyeliner and lip color looks as well. I love -everything- that I do. But the brows have always been my favorite, and always will be.

Pam

So Exciting!!! Let the new Video Series Begin!!!

Permanent Makeup Consultation
Drawing on the brows for my client.

I am beginning the new educational series today with “The Consultation”. Setting up a consultation with a client is the first and most important step in this process. This is the time for the client and myself to sit down and talk about the procedures, look at photos and discuss their expectations. It gives the client an opportunity to ask questions about what is going to happen during the procedures as well as what to expect as their skin begins to heal and their beautiful new look is revealed.

In this video you’ll hear my client asking me questions that she considers important regarding her permanent makeup. Some of these might be questions that you’ve considered when thinking about getting permanent makeup for yourself or someone you know. I hope you’ll join me through my 5 part series and gain more insight into permanent makeup and what it can do for you.

Feel free to leave comments or questions. Thanks for watching and keep a look out for the next video in this series– “The Eyebrows”.

Hugs, Pam
